Amazing things happen when you are In Hot Pursuit of Holiness

Breaker 1/9, you got the Holy Spirit

In the Pursuit of Holiness, one has to make the decision to follow and live by God’s Word without reservation.  God’s desire for us is to live holy lives by the empowering of the Holy Spirit.  Devotion is to set yourself apart for the Glory of God.  The quality of a person’s character and actions should be that of the reflection of our Heavenly Father.  To desire to live a life in reverence to God, choosing to perfect our ways from being tainted with sin and evil, is the Pursuit of Holiness.

The benefits of the Pursuit of Holiness far outweigh any other decision you will ever make.  In 1 Peter 1:16 it says, “Be holy, for I am holy.”  Consecration provides you with peace, contentment, joy, self-control, satisfaction, and all you need to make it through each day and situation you encounter.  The way this works is that when you are seeking integrity, then all things will work out according to His Will and you will experience the presence of God.   His will is that you be in Pursuit of Holiness.

When you are in  Pursuit of Holiness, you will have less problems to worry about.  For example, one who does not seek righteousness will naturally make choices that will cause them to worry and become unnecessarily stressed.  People who do not practice purity will have the worries of becoming pregnant or contacting some kind of a disease, which could cost their health or even their life. The best prevention you can have from making wrong choices such as in adultery, drunkenness, fornication, just to name a few is to be in hot Pursuit of Holiness.

Being in the Pursuit of Holiness, you protect yourself from becoming a slave to sin.  Romans 6:19b-20 says, “Just as you used to offer the parts of your body in slavery to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer them in slavery to righteousness leading to holiness.  If you desire to live as Christ did, in devotion to the Father, then you are in the Pursuit of Holiness.

What does the Pursuit of Holiness looks like in people?  They radiate with Christ-likeness and they draw people to themselves.  Elizabeth George said, and I quote, “the more we pray, the more we’re aware of the presence of the Lord, and the more we reflect His beauty and Godliness to others. According to God’s Word, in 1Corinthians 6:19-20, it reads: “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?  You are not your own, you were bought at a price.  Therefore, honor God with your body.  People who pray and seek God’s face are in the Pursuit of Holiness.
